Inmigration in Costa Rica

Costa Rica has become in the last years one of the favorite destinations of people of other countries. The most common immigrants come from Central America, China or South America especially from Colombia, Chile and Venezuela. But which are the causes the causes that all these immigrants have to move to Costa Rica? Well, in my opinion, I think that they come to our country looking for new opportunities. Maybe they come from countries that are very violent or in war, so they try to find a peaceful place to live. Some people come alone or with their families looking for better jobs or easy access to their human rights, like access to health system, so they can live better. Or finally, some immigrants come to Costa Rica searching for a new country,  that is attractive for it amazing and rich of natural resources with a tropical weather.

Food Trends in Costa Rica

Troughs the last years, food trends have been influenced by the cultures of other countries. Some factor that is influencing these changes is the globalization. Nowadays, many cultures have arrived to Costa Rica and there are many different restaurants. There are Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Lebanese, French and Costarican restaurants.  Also including fast food like Burger King, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut or KFC, they all have changed the national habits and trends in the costarican society. International restaurants have changed the nutrition of the people, and are increasing the lost of the importance of the preservation the national food.

Education

I totally agree with the fact that relaxing and doing hobbies is just as important as doing homework. I agree with that idea because I believe that people have to be healthy in all ways. Hobbies and relaxing make a person to be emotionally healthy, if you do something that you like and put effort on it, you can achieve your goals in an unstressful way. Homework is important because it increases the discipline and the value of responsibility but hobbies as reading or practicing a sport also increase discipline and responsibility. When you learn how to relax in a difficult situation, you are learning something new, just as if you do your math homework. I think that if people can have a balance between relaxing and doing hobbies with homework, the can consider both important in their daily life.

Situation of elderly people in Costa Rica

Nowadays, in Costa Rica the elderly population is suffering of discrimination. Their families abandom them in nursering homes and never visit them. This has become a very common thing in costarican society and it has been increasing. Young people don't help them or respect them as part of our history. Elderly people sometimes can't move around the city in a comfortable way, because the city doesn't have the facilities for them in the street or in the bus. People don't value the big knowledge that they have anf unfortunetly they become just a '' burden'' for the society.

My pet

I have a pet named Lucky. He is a very small dog, and he is really smart. One of the reasons why i think he is smart is becuase since the first day he came to my house, i had taught him that when he is doing something wrong i say "no!" and he stops and looks at me, then if he is doing something really bad, i hit him a little bit in his mouth and i say "no!" so he stops and learns not to do it again. Also, i taught him to bring me the ball. Everytime i play with him, i throw the ball and he runs to get it, then i call him, and he comes to me with the ball. This two tricks that my dog had learned it took a lot of time for me to teach him, but now he is educated and that is proof that he is intelligent and obedient. I will try to keep teaching him more tricks because i want him to be a good dog.

Importance of sleeping for you

For me, it is really important to sleep because is the way I can recover all the energy to keep going on every day. If I sleep more than 8 hours, I’m going to be in a good mood and good attitude for the rest of the day. But if I sleep less than 8 hours in a night, probably I’m going to be the rest of the day tired, cranky and fatigue. So if I’m not in a good mood I’m going to be lazy to do things and sleepy in class or probably too stressed to talk and treat people in a good way. So the importance of sleeping for me is because it makes me rest and when I wake up I’m going to feel good and happy for a new day.

News Resisters

Nowadays, there are many people that resist to the idea of checking the news. This kind of people is called news resisters. The people don’t like at all to watch the news on TV, or listening to them in the radio. Some of the reasons are because the news are repetitive or negative. The news resisters sometimes have no idea of what is happening in the world or their towns, and that could put them in trouble one day if something bad happens because they won’t now. Everyday more people decide to become news resisters because most of the news nowadays are very negative, according to some opinions, so that doesn’t help to have non-stressful life if news are not optimists, for some people. The society should pay some attention to the news resisters, because in some of their positions, what they complain about could be fixed and in that way people could report different news with positive messages.
